I started Nutrisystem on August 11, 2009. A friend of mine lost over 40lbs in a year of following the program. Back in 2005-2006 I lost 80lbs following the South Beach program overtime I drifted from those habits and gain back 70 of that in the last few years. I decided I should get back on a program since what I was doing wasn’t working.
I need things to be simple and easy to prepare and Nutrisystem is great for people who like convenience. Everything is prepackaged and properly portioned. You supplement the program with Fruits and Veggies since that wouldn’t be very good prepackaged. You can either order the “Favorites” package or pick your own. I tried the “Favorites” package and found things that I definitely like and also found stuff I will never order again. Everyone has their own preferences but if you are used to frozen meals from Lean Cuisine, Health Choice, etc you should have no trouble finding something you enjoy in NS.
In 74 days that I have been on the program I have dropped 36.4 lbs doing some extra exercise on the side which is recommended but not required for success.
If you are new to Nutrisystem it should work just fine. I was amazed at the number of people complaining about this program I just don’t understand why it is pretty easy to follow and I don’t feel hungry at all!

I don’t understand the thinking of people like your last commenter, Mary. She didn’t even bother to explain why she was dissatisfied, just a very obnoxious “call me” like she can’t take responsibility for her own actions. Maybe she should try and call Nutrisystem and work it out with them?
I have found their support to be very good with swift responses to some of my pretty dumb questions when I started the plan 7 months ago. The meals are ok, just small and if you can’t get used to that, then you have no business trying to lose weight, cause you’ll never do it if you eat too much. By the way, thanks for the review!

So your saying it took you 32 days to figure out that you didn’t like the meals, or that you ate all the meals for 28 days and then 4 days later decided you didn’t like them? How does that sound to you?

I think maybe “alternative” just hit the nail on the head! LOL I am also on the program and just copied and pasted the following from the Nutrisystem web site:
“We are so confident that you will love our foods that we offer this incredible money back guarantee: Try our foods for a week. If you do not like them for any reason, simply call 1-800-321-THIN® within seven days of receipt of your first order and return the three remaining weeks of food, and we will give you a full refund of your purchase price, less shipping.”
I wasn’t even charged shipping on my order because I signed up for auto-ship (which can be cancelled at any time, obligation-free). But DUH, you can not EAT the entire month of food, then wait a few days and go screaming for a refund! READ THE “MANUAL!!!” LOL
